My name is Jung-Hyun — I studied landscape architecture in Korea and now run an interior design and maintenance business. I’m steadily learning, researching and planning to build a house in Wanaka, New Zealand. And I’m a Korean dad.
I first gained experience in plumbing and facility maintenance work at the age of 21 while serving in the South Korean military. Since then, I’ve worked on landscaping sites, restaurant interiors, manual labour on construction sites, and as a day labourer and cleaner during my New Zealand Working Holiday. I’m growing through hard lessons, big mistakes, and a passion to do better work.
This channel documents the raw reality of the sites I manage. My approach isn’t the perfect answer. But it is my unvarnished story of diving in to experience and master every step – from the initial stages of building a house, including the minutiae of the process, to the final stages of landscaping the garden.
